Vivian and Collin | Oaks of Salem Wedding
Lucky. That is how Josh and I feel about being asked to photograph Vivian and Collin’s gorgeous wedding. Having photographed their engagement session, we already knew that Vivian and Collin are adorable and sweet. But then we photographed their wedding and they reached a whole new level of awesome! Lets just start out talking about all the wonderful Chinese details they included. The one thousand colorful paper cranes Vivian’s mom folded all by herself. That stunning red dress Vivian wore for the reception. The many little homemade centerpieces. Then there is Vivian’s gorgeous dress that deserves recognition all its own. And those sparkly Jimmy Choos! Vivian and Collin both work in the Nordstom shoe department so you know their wedding shoes were a big deal!
Vivian and Collin were married under a magnificent oak tree at the Oaks of Salem in Apex, NC. The Oaks of Salem is located only about twenty minutes out of downtown Raleigh in the rural part of Apex. It features a spacious southern home, a large reception patio, and a beautiful outdoor ceremony location overlooking the grounds and lake. Vivian’s family friend welded the ceremony arch himself, which they had decorated in flowers and colorful paper cranes. Vivian and Collins family traveled from afar to celebrate this joyous occasion which was officiated by the coupe’s mutual best friend. It was a beautiful and emotional ceremony.
After saying I do, Vivian and Collin went to celebrate with their many wonderful family and friends at the reception. Vivian and Collin spoiled their guests with a variety of delicious food including a southern biscuit bar, pasta station, and Chinese fare. The groom’s family provided an endless supply of miniature cookies that guests were able to munch on throughout the night. After many hours of laughter and dancing, this wonderful night had come to an end. Vivian and Collin made their exit through a line of sparklers to continue their celebration at the after-party. Vivian, you were an absolutely stunning bride. I so enjoyed spending the day with you and your girls and I know Josh loved hanging out with Collin and his groomsmen. Thank you so much for asking us to photograph your lovely wedding. We are so happy to see two people who are so meant for each other begin the rest of their lives together. ~ Shelley and Josh, Apex Wedding Photographers
