Brittany + Rob | Shenandoah National Park Engagement

Brittany and Rob first heard about us through one of our previous couples Sarah and Caleb (thanks guys!). Sarah and Caleb’s wedding was one of my all time favorites and we we knew that anyone they would refer to us was bound to be awesome. Working with Brittany and Rob, we have found this to be true. In planning their engagement session, Brittany and Rob wanted to incorporate something close to their hearts. Both of them went to James Madison University in Virginia and spent their weekends hiking along the trails of Shenandoah. Josh and I are huge fans of making engagement sessions unique and personal PLUS we obviously love to hike, so we jumped right on board with their idea. Amazingly enough, Josh and I had not yet been to Shenandoah National Park. But we had wanted to visit, and were itching for a camping trip. So we packed our tent, put Migo in the car and drove off to meet them there.

The day we met Brittany and Rob in Shenandoah, it was full blown Spring in Raleigh, but the landscape was still winter-like atop the ridge. Brittany and Rob were kind enough to show us a couple of their favorite spots along Skyline Drive. We hiked down to a beautiful waterfall and up a craggy peak with awesome mountain views. I tell you, those blue ridge views just never get old. After following a questionable trail back down the mountain, we returned to our cars just before the sunset. Josh and I then headed right up the road to enjoy a crackling fire and a relaxing couple of nights in our tent. Thank you so much guys for bringing us out here and showing us the beautiful scenery!
