Amber + Rowdy | Historic Tucker House Wedding
When we first met with Amber and Rowdy, we were so impressed by their Southern charm. Rowdy treated Amber like a queen. He even bought us drinks and we hung out for a while after our meeting was through. Needless to say, we felt like old friends not long after we met them and we had a wonderful time photographing their wedding day. For their nuptials, Rowdy and Amber chose to have their ceremony and reception at the beautiful Tucker House in the Raleigh Historic District. This was our first time photographing the Tucker House and we were absolutely in love. Situated on the outskirts of downtown Raleigh, this Southern Plantation Style home has been preserved in its original form and is the perfect location for a romantic and intimate wedding. The ceremony was held outside on the patio while the cake cutting and reception took place indoors. It drizzled on and off throughout the day, but that didn’t faze the newlyweds. They even borrowed our white umbrella and took pictures in the rain! After the celebration was complete – which included hula dancers, sorority songs, and jumping over the broom-the newlyweds and their guests released butterflies into the wild and took off in a beautiful antique car. We then met up with them at their Alma Mater St. Augustine to take our final pics of the day in the historic chapel. Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your fun-filled day! We wish you all the best Amber and Rowdy! ~ Josh and Shelley, Husband & Wife Raleigh Wedding Photographers
