Merritt + Damian | Engaged

For Merritt and Damian’s engagement session, I headed out to Elm City NC to meet these two love birds on Merritt’s family homestead. Elm City is located just outside of Wilson, about an hour away from Raleigh. It’s a very rural area, full of open fields and riverscapes. Merritt and Damian chose to have their engagement session at Merritt’s historic family home situated right off the Tar River. Merritt said her grandparents originally owned this beautiful home, though her parents live in it now,  and the dollhouse she grew up playing in still stands on the property. Merritt and Damian plan to host their wedding at the gorgeous family home in December. The location features a classic home, rustic cabin, river dock, tall trees, and stunning river views. These stunning locations in combination with their bubbly personalities made for a wonderful engagement session. Damien and Merritt laughed and goofed off throughout the whole session. We ended up with beautifully natural photos that show off the wonderful friendship and chemistry between these two love birds. I had a wonderful time spending the afternoon with Merritt and Damian.
