Meredith + Tyler | Raleigh Historic Mordecai Park Wedding
Meredith and Tyler are so much fun! These two got hitched this October at the lovely Mordecai Historic Park in Raleigh. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we had such a great time at this outdoor wedding! Both Meredith and Tyler work in the food industry- he is the Soux Chef at Stanbury and she works at the ritzy Coquette. Being his pride and joy- Tyler and his guys got ready at Stanbury before it opened. Tyler obviously had the day off, but Josh had a fun time getting pictures of the men in the kitchen rolling dough and preparing for the evening’s menu. We love being able to incorporate something so personal into the wedding day. Meredith got ready in Mordecai’s charming little green house with her girls. I don’t think there were any nerves, but there was certainly plenty of laughter. I knew from the very start that this would be one fun wedding!
Meredith and Tyler did their first look in front of the Mordecai Chapel before heading over to the gardens for some couple’s portraits. The garden was full of happy yellow flowers, which seemed so fitting for this lovely wedding day. Meredith and Tyler were wed under the giant Oak tree in the far corner of the Mordecai Park. The wedding was officiated by their good friend. They also had a reading from an adorable short storybook called “I Like You”. It was such a sweet ceremony.
Now that Meredith and Tyler had made their vows, it was time for the party to get started! These two could not wait to start dancing, and the floor stayed packed all through the reception. Being people of great taste- we knew the food would be excellent, and Meredith and Tyler did not disappoint. When not on the dance floor, guests munched on delicious meals from any of the three food trucks they hired out for the night. Oh my goodness, we were stuffed!
At last, like any good party, this one had to end. Meredith and Tyler’s guests waved streamers as the newlyweds ran to their getaway vehicle- in this case, a Crankarm Raleigh Rickshaw. I think those last pictures sum up how fun this night was. We just love a bride and groom who know how to have a good time!
Meredith and Tyler, thank you so much for asking us to be a part of this awesome day! We know you two will continue to have so much fun, even as you grow old together. ~Shelley and Josh Hartman, Raleigh Outdoor Wedding Photographers
