Hotel Budir Wedding Reception
The Hotel Budir in Iceland is a great spot to have a wedding reception. The location itself is a couple hours outside of Reykjavik. As your guests are transported to Hotel Budir from the airport, they will feel as if they are arriving in another planet. Hotel Budir really makes an epic impression- which is what Iceland is all about.
Hotel Budir is perfect for a smaller wedding reception. Their upscale restaurant is large enough to hold a handful of dinner tables. As a destination wedding photographer, I notice that couples who host a destination wedding seem to have a smaller guest list anyhow, so this wouldn’t be a problem.

Flowers
Hotel Budir also had the best flowers out of all the places I’ve seen in Iceland. Due to the cold and wild climate, there aren’t too many flowers that grow here besides lupine as far as I could see. People do commonly have greenhouses, but the floral selection at florists and other stores is extremely limited, and in all honesty, quite disappointing. Wherever Hotel Budir gets their flowers, they had the best looking assortment I have ever seen in Iceland. This is good to know as you plan your wedding. And I wanted to let you know not to expect too much in this department if you have never been to Iceland before. It may be smart to choose different items to decorate when planning your wedding here.
Nice flowers are hard to come by in Iceland in my experience. But the hotel had a good, healthy bunch.
