Granada, Spain Honeymoon & Wedding Guide
Its fun looking back on old photos. I went to Spain in 2013 and we blogged it as soon as we got back. But over the years, certain photos from that trip have grown on me and I feel the need to share a few more. I also feel that it just isnt fair to either of the cities we went to to jumblie it up into one big blog post, so I have separated them so that both Granada and Marbella get the attention that they deserve. These two cities are both so beautiful and idyllic. I will talk more about Marbella in my next post (and then about Morocco!), but for now, I want to give Granada the spotlight. The whole trip to Europe came actually came about because my little sister was out in Spain studying abroad for the semester. We figured that was a good enough excuse to take a trip out there, and she showed us all of her favorite places. Granada is a beautiful old city in the south of Spain. The town has cobblestone streets, a large bohemian community, and a beautiful castle called the Alhambra. We had a great time wandering and enjoying the sights. And, of course, you can’t go to the South of Spain and not see a flamenco performance.
What I loved most about Granada was the character of the city. The colorful buildings with clay pots hanging out of the windows. Friendly cats wandering about the streets. People playing classical guitar on the street corners. There was such a romantic vibe about it. While we were there, we got to witness a wedding. I can’t even imagine how glorious it would be to photograph in one of those giant gilded cathedrals! We had such a lovely time wandering around this city and I would love to go back. Until next time, I suppose. ~ Shelley Hartman, Granada Travel and Destination Wedding Photographers
