How much awesomeness can you cram into one wedding day? This wedding had bubble guns, a ceremony selfie, colorful details, and even enchiladas (yes- you read that right). After photographing their off the wall engagement session in downtown Durham, we knew Sarah and Brian would plan for a fun filled day. Sarah and Brian were married at the gorgeous Sarah P. Duke Gardens this May on a beautiful spring day. Their wedding party wore a range of pinks and greens, and there were vibrant pops of color all over the tables. Sarah and Brian did most of their pictures prior to the wedding so they could get right to the party afterward. Picking up on their sweet and silly personalities was effortless. We even learned some new jokes from them.
Sarah and Brian held their ceremony at the outdoor amphitheater behind the Doris Duke center. We loved hearing their comical and personal vows to each other as they stood up front. Then, as a surprise, Sarah whipped out a selfie stick to snap a shot with Brian and all their bridesmaids and groomsmen. These two always have something fun up their sleeve.
Now that Sarah and Brian were officially married, it was time for the real craziness to begin. There were rumors that people might be twerking upside down (is that even possible?). Guests shot their bubble guns and got out on the dance floor. It was such a good time.
Sarah and Brian, thank you for all the laughs and for showing off your wonderful personalities. If the wedding day is any indication of your marriage, we know you two are in for the time of your lives. ~ Shelley and Josh Hartman, Durham Wedding Photographers
