Danielle + Ian | Holden Beach NC Wedding

Danielle and Ian live in Minnesota and planned a destination wedding in Holden Beach, North Carolina. Their friends and family joined them, some even driving here, for a long weekend celebration. Even their dog came along! For having traveled so far, these two didn’t spare any details when planning their wedding. Ian’s mom collects driftwood, and she toted the arbor, ceremony sign, and all the decor along with her on her journey! And we are thankful she did because everything was so beautiful! Danielle and Ian were married at the Southern Charm Beach House located right off the ocean. Instead of the traditional venue, these two stayed at the house with both of their families for one big weekend-long party. And while this house is not an actual wedding venue, it was set up perfectly for a small wedding such as this. There was plenty of space on the deck for a reception, a bar, and dancing. And let’s not forget the beautiful views looking right off the balcony!

Danielle and Ian were married on Holden beach overlooking the ocean. Their best friend (who should be a comedian) officiated the ceremony. The bridesmaids’ turquoise dresses swayed in the wind, seagulls flew overhead, and Danielle and Ian had their toes in the sand. It was such a beautiful wedding! Before long, these two said “I do” and everyone was ready to party.

Josh and I stayed back on the beach with Danielle and Ian for a bit to catch some newlywed portraits as everyone else headed off to the reception. These two are just so sweet together! They walked along the beach holding hands, chased the seagulls, and snuggled up in the dunes. I am just in love with these shots! On the way back, we also took photos of them walking along the boardwalk where they did their first look. The light was perfect!

Finally, it was time to start dancing- and boy, did they ever! This crowd was so much fun- even Josh couldn’t resist to show off some of his dance moves! We had such a great time hanging out with these guys and were so sad our night had to end. Big congrats to Danielle and Ian!
