Cathy + Jonathon | DC Engagement

Cathy and Jonathan are a super sweet couple who live up in DC. They wanted us to come out for a visit so we could incorporate some of their favorite spots in their engagement session. Also, so we could all get to know each other a little better before flying down to Puerto Rico to photograph their wedding in March (Yay!). The government shutdown and rainy weather this weekend initially seemed like a challenge. However, it turned out great since that meant less crowds! It was nice to get a little tour of the area built into our engagement shoot! Cathy and Jonathan took us over by the national mall and the Georgetown riverfront. Georgetown is a really cute area with old houses and a lovely tree lined pathway along a creek to the Potomac. The leaves here had just started changing colors, so that was like icing on the cake.
