Carrie + Kyle | Dewberry Horse Farm Wedding
My goodness we are in love with this wedding! From the flowered crown, adorable flower girl, and awesome venue, Carrie and Kyle’s wedding goes down in the books as one of our faves. Carrie and Kyle were married at Dewberry Farm in Kernersville, North Carolina. Kyle actually picked out the venue and he did a great job! Dewberry Farm is an actual working farm with horses, a farmhouse to get ready in, and a great outdoor reception area. Carrie wowed in a sleek Galina gown and topped her look with a flowey veil and flowered crown. I love that she wore her crown while she got ready too! She looked so gorgeous! When Carrie walked down the aisle, you could see Kyle holding back his tears. I am such a sucker for a tearful groom, but who wouldn’t tear up at the sight of this beautiful bride? Carrie walked down the aisle with her mother, and I can tell they are very close. I love this and actually did the same thing on my own wedding day with my mom. Carrie and Kyle were married under a pergola surrounded by roses. Carrie’s bridesmaids wore pretty pink dresses, and all of the wedding party (including the bride and groom!) wore cowboy boots. The lighting at the ceremony was so lovely as the sun began to set behind them. We are just so happy for these two!
After saying “I do” it was time for the party! As Carrie and Kyle’s guests grabbed a few drinks at cocktail hour, we snapped some photos of these two under the setting sun. Dewberry Farm is surrounded by colorful trees, and the golden light shined through them so perfectly. Before we finished, we walked over to the field to say hello to the horses. These horses weren’t camera shy at all and seemed more interested in trying to eat the bride’s bouquet than anything. We definitely got some good laughs out of that one!
Carrie and Kyle started their reception off with a first dance before opening up the delicious barbecue buffet. After filling up on a great meal, Carrie’s sister and Kyle’s best man shared their toasts and the newlyweds exchanged cake pops. These cake pops were an adorable alternative to the traditional wedding cake- and were quite delicious too! This day happened to be Josh’s 30th birthday, so we enjoyed the birthday cake flavor. Next, guests gathered on the dance floor and around the bonfire for a laid back celebration. The bride and groom partied for hours until being ushered out through a line of sparklers.
Big congrats to Carrie and Kyle! May the rest of your lives be as beautiful as your wedding day! ~ Shelley and Josh Hartman, North Carolina Outdoor Wedding Photographers
