Carolina Inn Wedding with 1920’s Winter Theme | Kate + Adam
Classic Carolina Inn Wedding
My oh my. What a way to end the year! Kate and Adam had their beautiful winter wedding at the Carolina Inn this past December. They planned the event with a Great Gatsby theme and the glamorous ballroom where they held their reception fit the look perfectly. Kate and Adam both go to school in Charlotte. Adam is studying physics and Kate is an amazing illustrator. We’re always so flattered when other artists choose us as their photographers, and Kate filled her wedding day with delightful inspired details. The bunny and fox stuffed animals Kate made were just to die for! Plus that mint cake drizzled in dark chocolate?! It tasted as amazing as it looked.
First Look at The Carolina Inn Wedding
Kate and Adam started their day with a first look in front of the Carolina Inn. The light was soft and creamy in the sweet afternoon sun. Thankfully, the weather was warm enough to stay outside for most of the day. Kate and Adam had an outdoor ceremony on the front lawn, something that certainly can only be done in sunny North Carolina. We are thankful for these North Carolina winters!
The Reception at The Carolina Inn
We had such a great time hanging out with this crew and photographing the big day. For their reception, Kate, Adam, and their guests danced to big band versions of the top hits. It was a really awesome nod to their Great Gatsby theme. At the end of the night, guests tossed “snow” while the two newlyweds ran off to prepare for their Paris honeymoon.
Thank you so much to Kate and Adam for choosing us as your wedding photographers! You both are such an inspiration! Also, big thank you to their wedding planner Sally Oakley for all her awesome work!
