Caitlin + Mino | Southern Pines Wedding
Caitlin and Mino are just about the sweetest people we have ever met. Caitlin is an elementary school art teacher and Mino is a chef and restaurant owner. They both are from New York state but live in Southern Pines North Carolina, located about an hour outside of Raleigh. For their wedding, Caitlin and Mino opted for a beautiful laid back affair. Rather than getting ready at a hotel room surrounded by the hustle and bustle of bridesmaids and groomsmen, the two chose to get ready by themselves in their peaceful, quiet house just outside of town. She got ready upstairs while he got dressed in the bedroom. They did a first look at the bottom of the stairs before enjoying a couple glasses of champagne, kissing their bulldog Shogun goodbye, and heading off to the ceremony together. Caitlin and Mino were married on the garden patio of the beautiful Ironwood Cafe in Southern Pines. This venue features peach stucco walls, gorgeous fountains, and a giant herb garden that supplies the flavor to their delicious foods. Caitlin and Mino broke tradition by walking down the aisle together before saying “I do”. Their ceremony was officiated by a family friend whom they hold dear to their hearts. After saying their vows and sealing their marriage with a kiss, Caitlin and Mino headed off to enjoy a night full of fun, dancing, drinking, and eating. Being a chef and restaurant owner, you know the food was superb! Guests ate caviar-topped eggs, steak, and made to order pasta while sipping on the bride and groom’s signature cocktails. The band Alternate Take kept the party going till 1am on this Sunday wedding. Caitlin and Mino didn’t worry about any of the traditions of cutting the cake or throwing the bouquet. They just partied and danced the night away. Thank you guys for showing us such a great time! Have a wonderful honeymoon in Italy!!!~Shelley and Josh, Triangle Area Candid Wedding Photographers.
