Kirsten + Zach | Haw River Ballroom Outdoor Wedding

What a way to start the 2015 wedding season! Kirsten and Zach knocked our socks off with an absolutely gorgeous wedding at the Haw River Ballroom this March. Kirsten was involved in every little detail, from the gorgeous ceremony alter to the reception decor. She and Zach had a wedding that burst over the seams with personality and cozy details. I’m just over the moon for those mis-matched plates and sumptuous cakes!

Kirsten and Zach were married on a beautiful sunny day in late March. Both their ceremony and reception were held at the Haw River Ballroom in the sweet little town of Saxapahaw. This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite wedding venues. The outdoor amphitheater is perfect for outdoor ceremonies and the warehouse interior is a wonderful choice for a rustic reception. The Haw River runs right beside the ballroom, and we loved walking down the path with Kirstin and Zach for their portrait session. Kirsten was absolutely stunning in a lacey detailed gown. She topped it off with a birdcage veil and an elegant haircomb. Zach looked handsome in his gray suit as well. These two oughtta be models!

Having done a first look along the Haw River, we had the pleasure of getting two portrait sessions with Kirstin and Zach on this beautiful day! Kirstin and Zach have been dating since high school (Yay for high school sweethearts!!!) and they just go together so perfectly! They’ve already returned from their honeymoon in Portugal (bonus points for an awesome travel choice!), and we are so happy to see them begin the rest of their lives together as Mr. and Mrs. Shiada. All of the vendors involved in this day did such an amazing job- from their incredible wedding planner Lynn from Happily Ever After Raleigh, to Gregg from Brides and Bouquets, of course Kim Barnett who created those mouthwatering cakes, the staff at Haw River Ballroom,  Saxapahaw General Store, and everyone else who helped out at the Haw River Ballroom and the hotel room.
