Elaine + Matt | Engagement at the NC Zoo

Elaine and Matt are so much fun. These two are getting married this summer at the beautiful Merrimon Wynne in downtown Raleigh and we could not be more thrilled to spend more time with them. Both Elaine and Matt are veterinarians who studied at University of Pennsylvania. Matt is specialized in animal radiation and oncology and Elaine is a veterinary surgeon- she has even assisted operating on one of the rhinos at the NC State Zoo! Surprisingly, neither of these two had ever been on the visitor side of zoo before, but we loved being able to incorporate something so unique into their session. The day we chose to meet up was absolutely gorgeous. We started right when the zoo opened to avoid the crowds and nearly had the place to ourselves for a while. We wandered through the polar exhibits, walked through the aviary, and even went over to check out Elaine’s rhino friend. Matt and Elaine were so much fun to photograph and most definitely seemed to enjoy themselves throughout the session. We love the laughs we were able to capture and are so excited to be able to photograph them again this summer.
