Regina + Ron | Historic Raleigh Mordecai Wedding

Regina and Ron are a couple of VERY happy people. Just look at those beaming smiles! Regina and Ron were married last weekend at the beautiful Historic Mordecai Park. Mordecai is located on the outskirts of downtown Raleigh surrounded by historic homes. The grounds feature a stately plantation-style home, an adorable chapel, and a lovely little garden. Regina and her bridesmaids got ready in a tiny green building on the property, while Ron and his groomsmen got dressed in a hotel downtown. These two were full of excitement as they prepared for their wedding day- even in the midst of some very uncertain weather. Despite the forecast, Ron and Regina opted for an outdoor ceremony- and God blessed them with sunshine! I loved Ron’s tearful reaction to his bride Regina as she walked down the aisle with her father. After saying their vows and performing a sand ceremony, these two were finally pronounced man and wife!

After the ceremony, Regina and Ron enjoyed some time together at the homestead as the rest of their guests made their way to the cocktail hour. We got some sweet pictures of this couple before heading back to the reception. The reception was also held outside on the Mordecai grounds. Ron and Regina added vintage touches to the reception such as old mason jars and colorful saltwater taffy. They also served old fashioned Cheerwine out of bottles for their guests.

Ron and Regina got the party started off right away with a seriously awesome first dance. It wasn’t long before the rest of their guests joined them. Ron, Regina, their friends, and family danced their socks off until it was time for the newlyweds to be sent off. Ron and Regina ran through a line of sparklers to their ultra-cool getaway vehicle: a vintage green Impala.
