Iliana and Johnny's Summer Wedding full of Mexican Culture

The Vineyards at Betty's Creek is such a stunning wedding venue. It's located in Sylva, North Carolina, only about an hour outside of Asheville. This wedding venue is snuggled up in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and features a vineyard, gorgeous rustic buildings, an open air reception area, and even a sweet little creek running through the property. I'm guessing that must be Betty's Creek!

The Vineyards at Betty's Creek : A Wedding Photographer's Dream

We've photographed at The Vineyards at Betty's Creek several times. Even so, each time it feels so new and different. Whether we come there in the Spring or Summer or Fall or even Winter, this venue is just so beautiful. This time, I was just enamored with that warm summer light, and the lush jungle-like greens all over the forest.

A Blue Ridge Wedding Full of Vibrant Colors

This wedding I just ADORED photographing not only because of the scenery, but because of the COLOR. Iliana chose to ask her bridesmaids to each wear a varying color of vibrant pinks, oranges, and yellows. These vibrant, summery colors were then echoed through the day in the flowers, the table settings, and the cake. It was so much fun to see such vibrant color used!

A Wedding Infused with Mexican Culture

Of course, we can't leave out the most fun part- which is the beautiful way these two incorporated Mexican heritage into their wedding. Honoring Iliana's family, these two chose to include several elements of Mexican culture in their wedding plans. First, there were the papeles picados strung all across the reception area. Then, there were the Margaritas served to cool down during cocktail hour. Additionally, there was incredible latin music played, and Johnny entered the reception wearing a Mexican Flag like a cape.
